What pleases us most are the makers and conservators who come back, and the work done on vellum that will last for years. That is the sign that craft and care are worth something.
We enjoy working with makers most of all. Preparing vellum to suit a calligrapher's hand or a binder's cover is the best work there is.
We are a small workshop preparing parchment and vellum by hand. To us a skin is more than a material: stretched, scraped and finished by hand, it takes ink, it binds well and it lasts for centuries. That is what our work is about.
